There was only one concession stand open for roughly 400 people.

The interior where the competition was being held was equally dirty and poorly lit. The floor was covered with a layer of dust as if it had been years since someone had been inside. Once inside, it was completely clear this place was not taken care of. Even the entrance wasn't properly staffed or marked to lead you to the correct area. We drove around this complex for about half an hour before finding the correct building entrance to use for the competition. First, there was absolutely no signage whatsoever directing you where to go. Recently visited the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center for a cheer competition at the Broadbent Center. The food offered was better than expected, just wish there was a few more choices. Food choices could be upgraded with more healthy choices, especially for the athletes that were attempting to find smoothies and better eats than the usual "carnival and fair" foods. For the immense crowds that attend this event, it is pulled off very well by the host organization. The South Hall exhibit area, where games were played is a "newer" section of the center and is not all that bad, but you can tell that most of the buildings from the seventies are showing their age. Late by 15 minutes for the time the coach wanted us there, but he was smart enough to put in a time buffer prior to games. I am glad I knew my way around once I got in, unlike some others, as parking was filling as well. I am glad I had planned for traffic tie ups on the road because, like another reviewer just commented, we too, waited 45 minutes to go ¼ mile to enter through the gates to the parking lot. We drove in from north of Louisville for the Saturday morning games and made great time getting to the Expo exit.

Have been there a few times prior for the same reason, plus Freedom Hall for various events, concerts in the distant past. In town for a major volleyball tournament at the Expo Center.
